learning relationship between students,
staff and the families. At this school we work and learn together in a way that
reflects our core purpose, which is to be a truly authentic learning
organisation. We have a detailed
student behaviour policy that includes an
anti bullying and harassment policy that
helps students make responsible decisions about their behaviour
and supports students with strategies to keep themselves safe at school.
I feel very proud of the school and am continually impressed by the
students' enthusiasm for learning, their
capacity to support and care for each other, and the way they
'have a go' at
so many curriculum options. The students are very successful and productive in
so many areas. They perform well in all subject areas, particularly in numeracy
and literacy, and they experience high levels of success in extra curricula
activities like dance, sports, playing instruments, performing and entering all
types of competitions.
A particular feature of our school is the cultural diversity of the
students and community. The opportunity to establish positive learning
relationships with students from cultures all around the world is a timely
reminder that we belong to a global community. The values and attitudes that the
students form at this time are so important for a world of peace and harmony; it
is a privilege to work in this community.
